Jordan’s journey in occupational health and safety began 17 years ago in the transportation industry. Since then, he has conducted countless investigations, developed policies, assisted in procuring equipment, and collaborated with national and international partners, as well as subject matter experts.
His expertise covers a wide range of areas, including hazard and risk analysis, project management, psychological health and safety, regulator relations, and integrating new legal/regulatory requirements through policy review and creation. Over the years, he has also handled various types of legal work in OHS, including negotiations, mediation/arbitration, and collaborating with legal professionals on cases before the courts and boards.
Jordan is a passionate debater and public speaker. He loves sharing his knowledge with front-line workers through live presentations, webinars, and workplace campaigns. This has included speaking at conventions and workplace safety summits, delivering motivational, keynote, panel and specific-to-the-topic addresses.
Jordan is a great team leader and excels at multi-stakeholder initiatives. Throughout his career he has managed to bridge the gap between sometimes tense union-management relations. He’s worked with high-level government officials, executive leaders, and all levels of management to make safety projects a success.
Jordan is based in Montreal.
Nicky has been in the transport industry for over 20 years and has a wealth of experience in corporate health and safety. She’s your go-to person for front-line safety investigations, employee outreach, wellness programs, psychological health and safety, and return-to-work programs and accommodations.
With her expertise in causal analysis and human factors, Nicky can pinpoint the best parts of programs, policies, and procedures to address challenges. She’s a transformational leader who combines honest and positive encouragement to drive change. With experience gained from collaborating with unionized teams, Nicky is adept at bridging gaps between workers and management which is crucial for building a strong safety culture. She has experience coordinating safety initiatives in complex workplaces and developing psychological health and safety programs.
Nicky is currently based in Calgary.
